The rules
4 steps.
- Sit or stand in a circle and start the round.
- Pass the phone to the next person as fast as you sensibly can.
- When it shouts STOP, whoever is holding it is out.
- Close the circle and go again. Last one in wins.
What the phone does
The phone is the potato and the timer at once. It picks the moment; it does not know whose hands it is in.
It is a dealer and a scorekeeper, never a judge. It cannot hear the room and it does not decide who was right.
