The rules
4 steps.
- The phone shows a syllable. Say a word starting with it.
- The next player starts from the last syllable of your word.
- No word can be used twice — the group keeps track between them.
- Too slow or rejected by the group, and you are out.
What the phone does
The phone deals the starting syllable and times each turn. The group judges whether a word counts.
It is a dealer and a scorekeeper, never a judge. It cannot hear the room and it does not decide who was right.
