The rules

4 steps.

  1. One player takes the phone and reads the secret privately.
  2. Everyone else asks questions that can be answered yes or no.
  3. The holder taps the answer each time. The counter goes down.
  4. Name it to win the round. Run out and the holder takes it.

The bit everyone gets wrong

Open questions do not count. "What colour is it?" gets you nothing but a wasted turn.

What the phone does

The phone deals the secret, hides it from everyone else, and counts the questions and guesses.

It is a dealer and a scorekeeper, never a judge. It cannot hear the room and it does not decide who was right.
