The rules

4 steps.

  1. Pass the phone around. Everyone sees the location — except one player, who does not.
  2. Take turns asking each other questions about the place.
  3. Answer so you sound like you know it, without saying the location outright.
  4. Call a vote when you think you have found the outsider.

The bit everyone gets wrong

Do not name the location. If you say it out loud, the outsider learns it instantly and wins.

What the phone does

The phone picks a location, tells everyone but the outsider, and collects the vote.

It is a dealer and a scorekeeper, never a judge. It cannot hear the room and it does not decide who was right.
